"The Nile" Serigraph by Erté
This stunning signed original serigraph "The Nile" by acclaimed artist Erte´ was inspired by the ancient Egyptian goddess Isis and is an original theatrical design created by the artist in 1926 for the famous Scandals on Broadway. Classically presented as the peacock, Isis represents the ideal mother, the protector of children and the patroness of nature. This rare serigraph was pulled at the Chicago Serigraph Workshop, one color at a time and is limited to 300 signed and numbered examples. The eleven screens used to create the edition have been destroyed. Example 126 of 300. Museum framed.
